Belgian Man Places Flowers On American Soldier's Grave

August 5, 2019

A Belgian man visited and placed flowers on the grave of an American soldier who died in World War II after meeting a family member while on vacation in the US.

The touching story was posted on Facebook.

A couple was hiking in Nashville, Indiana, when they met a man and his daughter on the trail. After conversing for a few minutes, the couple learned that the man lived in Belgium -- very close to a World War II cemetary where an uncle was buried.

They exchanged contact information and when the man returned home to Belgium, he sent the following pictures to his new American friends.
