Portland Police Officer Forced To Detain Chicken For Crossing The Road

An officer with the Portland Police Bureau was forced to detain a rogue chicken and it took a joint effort to get the bird to cooperate.

Officer Trummer found the free-roaming chicken at SE 13th Ave and SE Stark St. Why the chicken was crossing the road remains a mystery.
But with the assistance of a community member, he was able to get the chicken into his patrol car.

It all ended peacefully, as the chicken was eventually returned to his owner after a brief stay at Animal Control.
