This Guy's Stolen iPad Went On An Epic Journey, And His Updates Are Priceless
May 27, 2016
Last month, Shelby Bonnie lost his iPad somewhere at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after a flight from San Francisco. He figured he would never see it again.
But this device was not ready to say goodbye. Using the "Find My iPhone" app, Shelby was able to track his iPad for days as it traveled from city to city.
Shelby decided to narrate the iPad's journey on Facebook, which has become an internet hit. Enjoy!

By coincidence, Shelby nearly bumped into his iPad on a layover from the Bahamas.

"This is better than Game of Thrones," a friend commented.

Once the iPad finally seemed to stay put in a residential neighborhood, he came up with an idea to creep the new owner out.

Accompanying the balloons was a card that read "Thinking of You."
"Friendly yet slightly creepy enough for them to want that iPad out of their house," a friend commented.

The iPad was heading back to the airport.

His plan worked! The iPad was returned to the airport lost and found. On April 26, he shared this update:
"Success! iPad is coming home. As described by lost and found when they called a second ago, a fairly elderly woman came in a few minutes ago and said she had gotten the balloons and thought it would be a good idea to return the iPad to the airport. She said to thank me for the balloons, but she didn't really want to call.
Thanks to everyone for the ideas and encouragement."
Three days later, Shelby had one final update for his personal thriller.
