You Can Do Anything You Put Your Mind To
By xyz • July 4, 2016
Growing up, my group of "friends" made fun of me a lot for the way I was and acted. Born with Asbergers and anxiety they were the only ones who "liked" me but I digress.
They always said I was stupid and not as pretty and good as them, sometimes I would bring homemade food for myself and they all said I could never be a chef or make good food. The usual mean kid stuff, everyone has these people in their lives at some point. This went on til middle school.
And, I'm starting college next term.
Well, I got a friend request from one of them today. It wasn't the first. The usual "hey how are you blah blah" I was confused. Why like me now?
Was it maybe the fact that I graduated high school a whole year early and dashed ahead of them?
Or maybe that I got accepted into a good culinary and business program.
I denied the request. But still said thanks.
I mean, I wanted to prove them wrong. I wanted to prove everyone wrong.
And I did.
So thanks.
Without you guys, my victory wouldn't have tasted so sweet.
You can do anything you put your mind to. No body but yourself can say "I cant do this"
So go out there
And do it.
