Alien enthusiasts believe they've struck gold with this image of what appears to be an "alien thigh bone" on Mars.

The image was taken by the Curiosity rover's MastCam on August 14, 2014. Is this proof that large animals once roamed Mars?
"Simply put this shows that there were some living things on the Mars (sic)," asserts an editorial writer at Northern Voices Online.
Though no NASA scientist has spoken a single word about it, the image is going viral at the moment. It will take some time for NASA to fully analyze the image in detail and release a staement on the bone like object.
