These Emergency Vets Never Expected A Massive Bald Eagle To Show Up. Check This Out!

May 21, 2014

At a 24 hour animal emergency hospital, people will sometimes bring in injured wildlife that they've found. One night they brought in a Bald Eagle, with a broken wing. The vets were surprised with how heavy the box was and then they pulled him out...

He was huge! Look at the size of his talons next to an adult human hand.

This was the best position to have him while looking him over for injuries.

They confirmed that Freedom (the name they chose to give him) had a broken wing. He was most likely hit by a vehicle.

And he was pretty calm throughout the entire ordeal, thankfully, which helped both him and the vets from becoming injured.

A truly amazing creature. His wingspan is massive.

Luckily, they were able to help Freedom out of this tight spot. The vets at the emergency clinic were able to get him patched up and send him on his way.
