10-Year-Old Saves Brother's Life With Moves He Learned From The Rock

August 29, 2017

A 10-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after saving his 2-year-old brother from drowning.

Last month, Jacob O'Connor found his younger brother Dylan face down in a pool. But, it was a movie starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson that Jacob says helped him save his brother's life.

Jacob told the news outlet that he pulled his brother out of the pool and began performing CPR until he heard Dylan's heart beating.

Christa, the boys' mother, told WXYZ News, "The first few hours at the hospital were the worst because they weren't sure if he was going to fully recover. They couldn't tell me he's going to be okay."

She later asked Jacob how he learned CPR and Jacob said he saw it in the movie San Andreas.

The Rock got wind of the incredible story and praised Jacob on social media for his "heroic actions."

Soon after, he extended an invitation for Jacob and his family to come visit him on set.

The O'Connor family accepted the invitation.
