Wild dolphin approaches group of divers for help
January 28, 2013
A group of divers observing manta rays received an unusual surprise when they were approached by a bottlenose dolphin who clearly needed their help. Caught on some fishing line, the dolphin swam over to the lighted area near the divers.
It is amazing how cooperative the wild dolphin was during the rescue. As diver Keller Laros tried to remove the fishing line from the dolphin's pectoral fin, it remained incredibly calm.
"The way he came right up and pushed himself into me, there was no question this dolphin was there for help," Laros said.
Luckily the rescue was caught on tape and uploaded to YoubTube. It has received over 1 million views now.
