Anonymous man buys aspiring teen musician expensive keyboard

June 26, 2012

A man who refused to leave his contact information purchased a very expensive keyboard for an aspiring teen musician. 16-year-old Mpumelelo Khumalo was having fun playing different keyboards in a local music store in South Africa when this random act of kindness suddenly arrived.

According to store clerks, this is the second time this man has purchased expensive equipment for strangers. Each time he does it, he refuses to leave his name or phone number. He prefers to remain anonymous, which means he is doing it out of the kindness of his heart, not for publicity.

Khumalo could not believe what was happening. He told the local news he had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"I was looking at the different keyboards they had. I played a few songs on one I particularly liked but knew I could never afford," stated Khumalo.

After hearing the news, Khumalo's sister rushed to the music store only to find her brother smiling from ear to ear. According to her, this has been one of the happiest day of his life.

Khumalo plans to continue his passion for music during and after school. As for the mysterious business man, not much is known. Store clerks claim they only see him visit the store on holidays and his only purchases are keyboards for others.

"When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace."  - Dalai Lama
