These Burial Pods Turn Your Loved Ones Into Trees. Imagine Sacred Forests Instead Of Cemeteries
March 1, 2015
Cremation is no longer the only alternative to the traditional (burial) funeral. An Italian company came up with an eco-friendly alternative that is getting a lot of attention lately.
The Capsula Mundi project has developed an organic, biodegradable burial capsule that will turn the deceased's body into nutrients for a tree that will grow out of their remains.
Each person chooses their favorite tree.
Instead of cemeteries full of tombstones, friends and relatives will visit sacred forests.
(H/T) A Plus. The project is currently still a concept. Learn more at Capsula Mundi.
