Kitty Alarm Clock

I'm not sure if someone was looking out for me, but my job was saved. Every morning during the week, my alarm is set for 8:00am, which gives me just enough time to get to work at 9:00am. This one particular morning, it was crucial that everyone in the office was there by 9:00am for an important meeting. Many employees do not come in until 10:00am and work later.

Of course this would be the day that my alarm decides not to go off. I was in a deep sleep too until out of nowhere my cat, Carlos, jumped onto the bed landing directly on my chest waking me up. I was actually slightly pissed, and I threw him aside and rolled back over, but something made me wonder what time it was just to see how much more sleep I could get. 8:15am on the dot.

That was the absolute latest I could get up and make it to work by 9:00. If it hadn't been for my cat jumping up on the bed at that moment, I would have slept until who knows when and been in serious trouble at work. I remember clearly being in a deep sleep. The strange part was that he never jumps into my bed in the mornings. He never expects me to be up at a certain time because on weekends I sleep in much later without being bothered.

Divine intervention? I don't know, but someone was definitely looking out for me on this day. I was so thankful to Carlos for the next few days and made sure he was constantly pampered. He saved my job and now every time I look at him I just smile :)
