What Are The Odds?
By Lisa • January 27, 2012
My younger sister and I were pregnant at the same time. She unfortunately gave her son up for adoption, being unable to care for him. She knew the birth mothers name and address but never saw her son. Fast forward until 10 years later when my son was entering fifth grade. A new student was assigned to his class and placed right next to him. My son told me the student's name and that he was new. It took me months before I realized that this was my adopted nephew and my son's cousin that was sitting next to him in school!!! I never told my son that this was his cousin because the adoptive mother did not want him to know. She later moved to another county again and we never saw my nephew again. I still think about what a miracle that was and was grateful for the opportunity to see my nephew for that short period of time.
