Police Officer Celebrates Kid's Birthday After No One Picked Him Up From School
October 26, 2017
A Green Bay police officer is being hailed as a hero after taking a lonely boy out to eat for his birthday.
Officer Darryl Robinson from the Green Bay Police Department was called to a local elementary school for a child who was not picked up at the end of the day.
The child's parents were both in jail and the school had no other contacts for the child.
It was also the child's birthday.
While police tracked down a family member to care for the child, Officer Robinson treated him to McDonald's and gave him a ride in his cruiser.
