Alert Bus Driver Helps A Lost Toddler Reunite With His Family
July 17, 2017
Milwaukee bus driver Duane Butler was driving early on the fourth of July when he noticed a 2-year-old boy walking down the street alone.
The Milwaukee County Transit System said Butler saw the child all alone at about 6:30 a.m. and stopped his bus.
A passenger got off the bus to check on the boy and the child told him he was lost. The passenger brought the child onto the bus and comforted him as Butler called the police.
Officers arrived and took the boy by his hand and they went door-to-door looking for his home.
The boy had slipped out of his home while his family was sleeping, according to officials.
Thanks to the quick thinking of Butler, the youngster was reunited with a very grateful mother.
