A happy Christmas story for children practicing good behavior
December 21, 2012
One hundred students at Park Elementary School received an early Christmas present for their good behavior, academic acheivement, and high attendance rate.
The Universal Surveillance Systems (USS) Foundation donated 100 bicycles as part of their 'Adopt-A-Bike' program rewarding good kids as well as aiding struggling parents during tough economic times.
"The families of this school have been hit particularly hard by the current recession," said USS Foundation Founder and President Adel Sayegh. "Because of these economic issues, many of these children often have no reliable way to travel to school or enjoy healthy and fun exercise, so the donation of bicycles to these needy children will be an important factor in helping them. In addition, these bicycle donations will show how much others care and want to give them a better chance to succeed in life."
Santa Claus even took time out of his busy Christmas schedule at the North Pole to join the children during the assembly where the bicycles were presented to the 100 winners.
The USS Foundation has been contributing to families in need since 2011. Last year they made deliveries of bicycles to low-income children at schools in Highland Park, Michigan, and in Canton, Ohio.
