In Lucille Ball's hometown of Celeron, NY, a statue was commissioned to honor the television star... but it was so bad it was dubbed "Scary Lucy."

After a Facebook campaign named "We Love Lucy! Get Rid of this Statue" started getting national attention, Celeron Mayor Scott Schrecengost finally hired a sculptor to replace the unflattering version of Lucy.

On Saturday, Schrecengost and sculptor Carolyn Palmer unveiled the new bronze statue, which shows Ball in a polka-dot dress.
Schrecengost added that "Scary Lucy" remains an attraction and will be given another spot in the park.
