Lana Del Rey Covers The Beautiful 1930s Song Made Famous By Jessica Rabbit

May 8, 2015

Lana Del Rey surprised fans with her spin on the 1936 track "Weed Smoker's Dream" - a song later rerecorded under the moniker "Why Don't You Do Right" covered by Peggy Lee in the 40s and made famous again by the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It's the song Jessica Rabbit sings when she makes her dramatic nightclub entrance.

Perhaps we'll be treated to a studio version soon, but for now, here's the live one.
