Police Officers Buy Man A New Bike After His 'Only Mode Of Transportation' Was Stolen
February 21, 2019
Two police officers in Cape Coral, Florida, surprised an elderly man with a brand new bicycle after learning his bike was stolen at a local supermarket.
Robert, who's in his 80s, reported his bike stolen from a Winn-Dixie supermarket.
His bike was his only mode of transportation.
Officers Ken Cody and Guang Song responded to the call and took Robert's report. Afterwards, the two officers drove to Walmart and bought him a new ride.
Bodycam video posted by the Cape Coral Police Department shows the officers delivering the new bike to Robert's home.
Before they left, they helped him adjust the seat, showed him the bike's features and gave him a new lock with a key to ensure his new bike isn't stolen.
