Milwaukee Bus Driver Helps A Little Girl And Her Mother
February 2, 2018
A video of a Milwaukee bus driver assisting in saving a mother's life and comforting the woman's young daughter while waiting for help to arrive is touching the hearts of many.
Michelle Mixon
According to the Milwaukee County Transit System, as Michelle Mixon was driving her bus near 76th and Mill, she came upon a frightening scene. A woman passed out in front of the bus, and the woman's 6-year-old daughter ran to the bus for help, crying and screaming "My Mommmy. Mommy!"
"She's having a seizure," the girl cried. "I'm scared."
"Okay, I know sweetie, I know," Mixon replied, as she called for help.
Mixon comforted the girl as strangers rushed to help her mother. One man took off his coat to keep her warm.
An ambulance arrived and Mixon held the girl tightly as paramedics placed her mother on a stretcher.
"They're going to take care of her," Mixon said.
Mixon told her co-workers she was happy to help and that the incident was the "most memorable and emotional thing" she has been through, according to the MCTS official release.
