Get yourself a medium to large standard shaped bandage.

Cut down the middle of each sticking tab all the way to the pad, but don't cut the pad itself.

Place the pad on the cut with the sticky end toward your nail and cross the two strips over one another to opposite sides.

On the other side, press the two other strips down around the sides of your thumb.

Make sure the second two strips slightly overlap the first two in order to properly secure the bandage.
