Chris Kimbrough chugs her first beer to start the race

What is a beer mile? Competitors must drink a full beer before each of the four laps around a track.

Chris Kimbrough, a 44-year-old mother of six from Austin, Texas, finished with a time of 6:28 on November 2, 2014 shattering the previous record by 13 seconds.
