A huge applause echoed in the huge carpeted and Corinthian room as Jane, the most celebrated female model of the city gracefully walked along the pathway. Shoulder length bronze hair, fair complexion emblazoned with a broad smile was Jane, the guest of honour waving her thin, long-fingered hand to the group of admirers at her sight.

The sound of applause dwindled in the vestibule at the beginning of the simple yet engraved speech of the incredible model. A quite tall broad-shouldered journalist aged of about forty having a pair of spectacles perched on the nose was noting meticulously a draft of the speech of Jane.

After the speech, the most awaiting moment of the salient event came- It was the question time.

One among the questions emerged from the broad-shouldered journalist who upon gentle approval of Jane scornfully queried her “ Well ma’am since you are the finest, the most elegant model of the city, there must be something that sprinkles some magic portion in your success, is it the watch necklace that you always wear?

Silence prevailed in the fully-packed room and everyone eagerly waiting for the notorious Jane.

With a low gaze, moist eyes and a soft voice Jane said “This watch necklace is an epitome of my lost lover Edward whose life ebbed away to the cradle of death two years ago. Days, months and even years have passed swiftly and the person is forever parted. Yet what this Jane still have today is a symbol of a conglomeration of time and love that though Edward is physically far from my life, his presence is felt by the tinkering of this two cm needle. Now, how can I keep apart the essence, the shadow of my life away from me? I tried, Believe me, I couldn’t. It brought me a lot of pain, miseries and grieve.”

The question time ended in an ephemeral yet memorable way with a silent message whispering “Time gone is like the flowing water of a gurgling river, where even if one wishes one cannot touch the same water again. What it takes and flows is a plethora of memories of our dear ones where a little something can symbolize a profound importance in someone’s life-just like the necklace watch of Jane from the gone lover-Edward.

This marked the end of the phenomenal speech of Jane who wiped her moist eyes and managed to smile to acknowledge the huge round of applause and standing ovation of her beloved listeners.
