A Skunk Wearing A Baby Onesie, Puppy Diaper And Cuddling A Stuffed Sloth... Need I Say More?

December 22, 2013

Reddit user KalisCoraven's pet skunk, Stunky, had surgery. And since she can't wear a cone of shame, the vet put her in a newborn onesie and a puppy diaper.

She's sassy and a little nippy right now because she is not pleased about the onesie situation.

She loves snuggles and scratches, kicks her back leg like a dog when you hit "the spot", and stomps her feet and snorts when she's unhappy.

A healthy skunk can live for as long as a healthy dog or cat.

Very curious but also very blind, she gets into EVERYTHING so that she can sniff and feel it to figure out what it is.

The skunk eats fruits, vegetables, dried mealworms, small amounts of yogurt or cheese, and some boiled chicken/scrambled eggs as a daily diet.

Stunky does not sleep/live/stay in a cage. Ever. According to the owner, putting a skunk in a cage makes it an angry animal and a terrible pet.

"She gets along okay with my cats in that they mostly ignore each other. Skunks do not play the same as cats and dogs, so I find that the best way to mix species is to get them both young at the same time, and raise them together. Using this method you can have best friends who are different species." ~ KalisCoraven
