Rabbit Hole In A Farmer's Field Leads To Giant Cave Used By The Knights Templar

March 8, 2017

This cave, beneath a farmer's field in Shropshire, England, was used by the medieval religious order Knights Templar that fought in the Crusades. These stunning images were captured by photographer Michael Scott.

The hole leading into the cave looks just like a rabbit's hole.

Once you enter the cave, there's a network of walkways that are "completely untouched" with many inscriptions on the cave walls.

Scott used candles to illuminate the inside of the cave.
