They Find A Stray Pit Bull On Side Of The Road, Then Realize She's Hiding 2-Day-Old Kitten

Pit bulls have a reputation for being aggressive dogs. The Mercy Animal Clinic in Garland, TX, got to experience firsthand how loving a pit bull can be.

The stray pit bull, nicknamed Pittie, was brought in after being found on the side of the road. It appeared she'd recently given birth, as she had hanging mammary glands that could be nursed from.

In fact, when she was found, an animal was nursing from her: a tiny kitten!

Veterinarians were surprised at how gentle Pittie was with the 2-day-old kitten.

"The dog is sweet and loves the kitten, but her milk is drying up," Mercy Animal Clinic wrote on Facebook. "We are bottle feeding the kitten today and placing it in a home with a nursing mother cat tonight."
